Raymond Ealy

Executive Director | Founder – STEAM:CODERS
Raymond Ealy founded STEAM:CODERS in July 2014. STEAM;CODERS was created to address the need for access to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) educational and career opportunities, for underserved and underrepresented K-12 students. STEAM:CODERS serves
students who attend Title I schools and/or reside in communities that have a disproportionate share of disadvantaged K-12 students. STEAM:CODERS
introduces thousands of student to a wide variety of STEAM-related fields, annually. STEAM:CODERS teaches logic, critical thinking and problem
solving, creating attainable pathways for success. STEAM:CODERS provides students with access to instruction, curricula and equipment, allowing them
to expand their skill sets, while increasing their exposure to industries and careers that may not be within their vision (i.e., coding, robotics and
design).

The organization emerged from the Gamma Zeta Boule Foundation’s award-winning L.A.M.P. Mentor Program, based in Pasadena, CA. Ealy created the L.A.M.P. Mentor Program. L.A.M.P. stands for Leadership, Achievement, Management and Professionalism and originated in 2007, to provide soft skill training for underserved and underrepresented high school boys who wanted to attend and graduate from college. The L.A.M.P. Mentor Program students attend and have graduated from schools across the country (i.e., Harvard, UCLA, Amherst, UC Berkeley, Morehouse College, University of Michigan, Marist College, Loyola Marymount, Hampton University, American University, among many others).

Ealy has over 30 years of management experience in the financial services, nonprofit and retail sectors. Past management roles have included Bank of
America, Countrywide Financial Services, Wells Fargo and Security Pacific Bank. Ealy currently serves on Gamma Zeta Boule Foundation board. Prior
board affiliations include the Pasadena Community Foundation, LA’s BEST, Innovate Pasadena and the La Salle High School Board of Regents. He
received a B.A. from Florida State University.
