Russell Richey is the Director of Business Development for Van Services and Alternative Transportation at First Student . He is responsible for leading all First Student sales efforts to drive growth across North America for non – conforming vehicle transportation. This includes execution of and development of field operations strategy to secure new business. Russell also served as Performance Assurance Manager, where he supported remediation and improvement efforts for underperforming First Student Operations. Lastly, he was the General Manager for the Los Angeles terminal that provided home to school transportation service for Los Angeles Unified School District, the 2nd largest school district in the US.

Prior to First Student, Russell held numerous leadership positions in finance, operations and sales with Kraft Foods, General Motors and Johnson and Johnson.

Russell has a bachelor’s degree of business administration from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
