The L.A.M.P. Mentor Program and Jacobs, a national leading engineering and STEM company, have enjoyed a mutual commitment to the success of the Program for many years. In November 2021, at its annual board meeting, Steve Demetriou, Jacobs’ CEO, announced a new level of support with a $100,000 gift to the Gamma Zeta Boule Foundation for the L.A.M.P. Mentor Program. The announcement came as part of the recognition of the service of Archon Robert Davidson for his 20-year tenure on the board of Jacobs. Archon Davidson introduced the L.A.M.P. Mentor Program to Jacobs and its senior leadership. Jacobs and Mr. Demetriou have been supporting the L.A.M.P. Mentor Program with an annual sponsorship of the Scholarship Celebration and Luncheon. The new gift with serve as the initial investment in an endowment for a scholarship in Jacobs’ name and a service award for a graduating L.A.M.P. Mentee in the name of Robert Davidson. Jacobs further committed to make an annual contribution to the Gamma Zeta Boule Foundation’s L.A.M.P. Mentor Program A portion of the annual contribution will support additional scholarship funds and a portion will be used to build the endowment. This is the first endowed scholarship in the history of the L.A.M.P. Mentor Program, and we thank Jacobs, a company that is continually challenging today to reinvent tomorrow, and Steve Demetriou for their continuing support and commitment.
