On behalf of the Gamma Zeta Boulé Foundation (GZBF) Board of Directors, please accept my season’s greetings, and best wishes to you and yours. This November’s Yellow Pad missive coincides with the giving season that started with Giving Tuesday which yields a seminal invitation to join us in making an indelible impact on the lives of scholars in our renowned L.A.M.P. Mentor Program.
I submit that GZBF’s stewardship of the L.A.M.P. Mentor Program underwrites a philanthropic selection which consistently produces superior returns. L.A.M.P. has a 17 year track record of deploying a proprietary operating technology to empower African American adolescent males by: (1) administering exemplary leadership training, (2) teaching practical interpersonal / soft skills, (3) providing academic / career guidance, and (4) consistent mentorship by creating a dynamic forum to develop relationships with accomplished Black men, and Black culture leaders.
To date, the aforementioned operating technology has empowered 200 African American Mentees to see, believe, and pursue the infinite possibilities in their lives, and propel them to college, and career success. Our initial L.A.M.P. Mentee cohorts of 10-15 have grown to our 2023-2024 cohort of 52 (an increase of 245%-420%). Commiserate with the exponential growth of our participating Mentees is our sincere petition for your increased support, which is essential for us to advance this mission critical work.
We are unequivocally bound together in our communal pledge to transform the trajectories for past, current, and future generations of leaders for, and from the Black community making a difference in every environment they traverse. As the African Proverb states, “It takes a Village to raise a child”. Furthermore, this Village includes all of us. As we say at GZBF, “do not spectate, participate” and join the GZBF Village this Giving Season by clicking here and make a donation today. Please accept our heartfelt gratitude in advance.
Happy Holidays,
Ramsey Jay, Jr.
